Joakim and Kindness have announced a small tour to coincide with the release of “No Time To Waste,” their neat collaborative single released under the name Everyone through their new vinyl-only imprint, Crowdspacer. Kindness, a one-man indie disco-funk band comprised of Adam Bainbridge, joins forces with legendary Joakim, one of France’s foremost electronic musicians. Joakim runs the Tigersushi label and releases a broad spectrum of music including Maurice Fulton, E.S.G, Poni Hoax and Metro Area. And almost anyone would agree that Kindness handed in the funkiest thesis of 2012. Joakim and Kindness met in Paris while the latter was recording his album at Philippe Zdar‘s (of Cassius) studio.They became food obsessed friends and eventually recorded a track on a late afternoon with V. L’Traques helping on the 909 drum machine and keys. One thing clearly lead to another. Don’t miss a rare chance to catch them DJing together in LA on March 14th!

The Rapture will be heading back to LA on the 23rd for their only appearance in the city this year so far to play records at Far Away #004! Vito & Druzzi from The Rapture will be on the decks, delivering their personal favorites and house edits all the way from New York. This is not to be missed. Joining them will be a full lineup of local talent that you should already be familiar with. And of course, we have two pairs of tickets to give away.

Best known for being the drummer and multi-instrumentalist of The Rapture, Vito Roccoforte and Gabriel Druzzi Andruzzi are nothing short of true professionals when it comes to making people dance. As a DJ duo, they are equally as powerful as their skills as a live act and push a futuristic house and disco sound that pays heavy homage to the roots of the genre. The party takes place on March 23rd at an intimate new location in the middle of the city called The Lyric Theatre. Doors open at 9pm and tickets are only $10 until 11, and then $15 after. Supporting DJ sets will be brought to you by Golden Touch, Evan Stalker, Small Pyramids, and Cooper Saver. And we’ll be going later than usual with a 3am closing time.
