☑ Moombahton was created by Dave Nada (of Nadastrom) whilst entertaining a ditch day house party full of anxious latinas eager to dance to something with saucy rhythm. So Nada cleverly toned down his crate of dutch house by slowing down his Chuckie Afrojack remix record “Moombah” to 108 bpm. BUM BUM BAHHHH!!! And the tropical and inherently dancefloor-ready genre was born.

Following Nada’s lead, more top-notch proponents in the moombah campaign emerged and the likes of globally-praised moombahtonistas MUNCHI, DILLON FRANCIS, HEART BREAK, were discovered with frantic legions of eager support tailing close behind them. What makes moombahton special is its ever-evolving and accessible nature, and the exploration of the unknown depths of this genre’s potential have only just begun.

Moombahcore leads the way directly to the dance floor with firey four-to-floor dutch house blares and searing basslines, while Moombahsoul leans to the more sunny daytime groovy-worthy tip. And the combinations of Kuduro, Cumbia, Soca, Dancehall, Latin, funk, electro, dub, Tropical bass, in between the capricious layers within realm of Moombahton are endless.
