The Line-up::

PLASTIC PLATES is no stranger to the disco game. He’s garnered international acclaim by remixing the likes of Katy Perry, The Magician, Mark Ronson, and many more. His style is futuristic, bounce-driven disco with a sprinkle of tropical, and his original productions ‘Toys’ and ‘More Than Love’ stick right on this mold as well. He’s recently played Snowball Music festival in Colorado, as well as touring all across the world, and will be supporting The Magician on his tour dates this summer – but we get him all to ourselves as the headliner of the very first DISCO MASSIVE.

GOLDROOM has certainly carved out his niche in the last half year, gaining recognition around the world as one of the top tropical disco producers. As one of the leaders in the tropical movement, Goldroom continues to push the sub-genre to new heights with incredible original productions like ‘Angeles’ and ‘Morgan’s Bay’, as well as top charting remixes of Alpine, Gigamesh, and Niki and the Dove. His style is unique and represented by very few producers around the globe, and we’re so very excited to bring his tropical flavor to the tropical paradise of San Diego.

Halfway through the holidays and we have the New Year to look forward to this weekend. I am feeling great because of all the awesome music I’ve heard the last couple days. Here is a sampling of what I’m talking about:

Bee Gees – Stayin Alive (Teddybears Remix)

This is just a beautiful remix. It’s essentially a cover, but it does a great job of modernizing a classic. Listen twice just to make sure you understand.

Dolby Anol releases a giant EP with several wonderful new tracks, but my favorite from it is an old track that was remastered for the release:

Dolby Anol – American Express (Remix)

It’s got a neat tribalesque feel without sounding too gimmicky, and the background synths keep you distracted until the bass drops. Very well put together track.

Another great EP was released by Attaque, and this is, in my opinion, the better of the two tracks. Its a rager, with lots of bleep bloops. Perfect for the heat of the party, or show, or rave, or driving really fast.

I hope this will satiate your needs for a time, but if you’re looking for some entertainment in a more public venue, be sure to check out Physical Education at El Dorado tomorrow.

The French Kiss Collective, Chamberlin, D*BEAR and Benedikt (of D4D) will be providing disco beats for you to get freaky to.
