Halfway through the holidays and we have the New Year to look forward to this weekend. I am feeling great because of all the awesome music I’ve heard the last couple days. Here is a sampling of what I’m talking about:

Bee Gees – Stayin Alive (Teddybears Remix)

This is just a beautiful remix. It’s essentially a cover, but it does a great job of modernizing a classic. Listen twice just to make sure you understand.

Dolby Anol releases a giant EP with several wonderful new tracks, but my favorite from it is an old track that was remastered for the release:

Dolby Anol – American Express (Remix)

It’s got a neat tribalesque feel without sounding too gimmicky, and the background synths keep you distracted until the bass drops. Very well put together track.

Another great EP was released by Attaque, and this is, in my opinion, the better of the two tracks. Its a rager, with lots of bleep bloops. Perfect for the heat of the party, or show, or rave, or driving really fast.

I hope this will satiate your needs for a time, but if you’re looking for some entertainment in a more public venue, be sure to check out Physical Education at El Dorado tomorrow.

The French Kiss Collective, Chamberlin, D*BEAR and Benedikt (of D4D) will be providing disco beats for you to get freaky to.

And if that starts too late for you, come and pre party it at the AC Lounge! I’ll be spinning some 80′s tracks in preparation for a sick new mix for you guys to be released next month.

Friday: Wow wow we wow I am exhausted. Great performance by The Juan McLean at U-31 and yes I will give you every little thing.
Saturday: Nothing beats seeing my FAVORITE artist Claude VonStroke with Justin Martin at The House of Blues. EPIC NIGHT !!
Sunday: Great wedding party / Grand Re-opening party of Gary John & Kimberly Rockefeller at The Air Conditioned Lounge. Such an wonderful weekend-ing.

Well that weekend was a doozy!! So chill out, zone out, and light up to this delightful tune.
